Yup, periods exist, and if you have one and are working out consistently it is nice to know that you can learn to train with your cycles.

'The menstrual cycle is pretty low on our list of go-to topics to discuss at the gym. Georgie Bruinvels PhD, a research scientist at Orreco, is trying to change that. She believes it can serve as a guide for planning how you train, eat and recover to get more out of all three. On this episode, of Trained the Nike podcast she outlines a plan for each of the cycle’s distinct phases; discusses the long, hard fight for gender equality in research; and debunks some enduring myths.
"Understanding what a woman needs to support her training"
This podcast opened my eyes to a new way to view training for my female clients, and for my personal workouts. It is a really refreshing reminder to know that you can have some control over your PMS with the help of propper nutrition and recovery habbits. I also thought it was really cool that not just women are interested in this topic but many male coaches who want to gain a better understanding of the best way to work WITH the cycles of their female clients.
